Wattpad Recommendations 01

I remember how I felt when I first discovered Wattpad on my elder sister’s iPad when I was just 9 years old. I had already developed the love for reading novels at that time, and so I was amazed by the number of books my sister had on there. I couldn’t even decide on which to read because they all looked good and bad.

Bad because then, you could be in a lot of trouble if you’re found looking at anything not rated PG. Wattpad book covers were anything but PG. At least most of them. But that’s what I love the most about Wattpad; their cover pictures. It has the ability to take your mind on a wild adventure of what the book would be about. I still consider book covers till date.

Fast forward to the age where I could finally get my own library; I read the hell out of Wattpad, until I outgrew it. I still find myself reminiscing on some scenes from my favourite books and that’s why I put together a list of some memorable books from that time.

So here you have it:

6 Wattpad novels I absolutely adored as a Teenager.

1. WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN: A MIDNIGHT MAFIA NOVEL.

ABOUT THE BOOK

My REVIEW

Book One of “The Midnight Mafia” trilogy

Katherine Santoro was your average twenty-something wannabe journalist. She was determined to make it big, would do anything for the scoop. Anything. Including finding her way
into an underground club exclusive to only those in the Genovese mafia and the beautiful women they employ. What could be more perfect? She would stick to the shadows, snap a few videos, and write the biggest story New York has ever
seen, therein making her a legend!

Easy as pie. Until she gets found. A series of blatant lies and luck breaks later and she is mistaken to be one of the workers underneath.
While many might be terrified of this predicament and fear for their life, Kate couldn’t be more excited. Her experience below will give her even better insight to write this story, and the freedom to roam the area and talk to the
members of the infamous brotherhood will leave no rock unturned. All she has to do is to keep her cover until the night is over and the workers go home. What a fantastic position she is in!

There are just two, minor problems to her pitch perfect plan.

One being him. Alessio. The Don, the Godfather, the Capo di tutti capi (the boss of bosses) who has taken a keen interest in Kate. Even that is something she could probably handle for one night. Except problem number two. They don’t leave. Not at the end of the night, the end of the week, or even the end of the month.

Alessio’s interest in Kate threatens to expose her,
something she would surely die from. He knows
she doesn’t belong but it’s not as though she could have just waltzed in, right? By the time Kate realizes that not even the greatest scoop is worth the price, she is far too deep to call it quits now.

MY REVIEW: I read this book over ten times. For some reason, I couldn’t forget about it. I would always read it whenever I download Wattpad. It’s a really good book though. Aside from all the cliches, you’d love it. And yes, it has a boat load of steam. What is a romance novel without steamy scenes!

2. ALPHA KADEN by Midika Crane.

ABOUT THE BOOK

“Lock your doors. Hold them tight. Close your windows. Every night. Don’t go out, in case he’s there. Always live in total fear.”

Everyone knows of Alpha Kaden, a man of twisted riddles and cryptic puzzles. His identity is one of them. His touch, another. He is feared throughout all 13 packs for his reputation of stealing young women out of their beds. And tonight he has come to steal Mara to make her a player in his wicked game.

But when Mara discovers the truth behind his sadistic mind games everything changes and she finds herself questioning what is real, and what is not. Mara always assumed her mate would be a man from her own pack. A good man. Not a sadistic, sinful Alpha named Kaden.

MY REVIEW: This is an Alpha series. Alpha Kaden was my favourite for obvious reasons. He’s possessive, demanding, controlling, I could think of a lot of mean words to describe him, but he was my favourite alpha. The book is amazing. If you can read through the cliches, you’d love it too.

3. THANATOS: THE RED DAWN

ABOUT THE BOOK

The Red Dawn has come.

Death is upon us…

Or rather upon small-town girl, Aurora Venerelli and when we say ‘upon’, we mean right on top of her.
This young beautie’s life is turned upside down- or right side up- when a very perverted and equally cocky Thanatos, the Greek god of death, shows up at her door.

Aurora is thrown into a world of myth and legend and she’ll have to try and discover her true self, while being haunted by her ancestor Hecate- the goddess of witchcraft- and of course, trying not to get herself killed by the enigma that has acquired a certain odd obsession towards her- Death himself.

And let’s be realistic here…
Doesn’t Death always get what he wants?

MY REVIEW: Thanatos was a horn dog. I loved this book for the humor and plot. My teen self absolutely enjoyed it. It’s filled with loads and loads of smutty scenes. Rated 18+. If you don’t love perverted and cocky men, don’t read this! This is a Series! Make sure to read book 2 & 3. You can find them on Wattpad.

4. THE SWAN by Jaide Harley

ABOUT THE BOOK

Emery Barner is in a long-time relationship with her highschool boyfriend, but things aren’t going exactly great between them. She’s struggling to support them both and trying to go to school for music, working several jobs at once. One of those jobs is to do what she loves: play the cello. She plays at a fancy, romantic restaurant where most people walk right by without appreciating the heart she puts into her playing, until one night when she’s approached by two businessmen, offering her an opportunity to really start her cello career by helping them out with a charity event. While Emery is hesitant at first, she ends up signing a contract and finds that despite her initial dislike of the business owner, Milo, she feels a draw to him she knows she shouldn’t.

Milo Sanders, a billionaire businessman on the spectrum that isn’t exactly great with people or social skills, is scrambling to find a replacement musician for his upcoming charity event after the one he had lined up was stolen away. The charity event is much needed to help generate some positive PR and help his image and so while Milo is stewing in anger over dinner at the loss of a popular musician, he discovers what he refers to as “the gift” in the cellist playing at the very restaurant he’s in. He never intended to want anything from her except her musical talent but the more time he spends with her, the more he finds himself wanting much more from her.

MY REVIEW: This was where my love for violins stemmed from. I also discovered Autism here for the first time. And yes, it has steamy scenes. Ha! Still rated 18+. It’s a series too. So do well to read book two.

5. STORM AND SILENCE by Robert Thier

ABOUT THE BOOK

Freedom—that is what Lilly Linton wants most in life. Not marriage, not a brood of squalling brats, and certainly not love, thank you very much!
But freedom is a rare commodity in 19th-century London, where girls are expected to spend their lives sitting at home, fully occupied with looking pretty. Lilly is at her wits’ end—until a chance encounter with a dark, dangerous and powerful stranger changes her life forever…

Enter the world of Mr Rikkard Ambrose, where the only rule is: Knowledge is power is time is money!

MY REVIEW: The best hands down! This is a historical romance novel. I love love love this book. Lilly was a really outspoken young lady trying to survive in a man’s world. Rikkard Ambrose was the best silent man ever! You’ll love this book. Trust.

6. SILENCE IS GOLDEN by Robert Thier

ABOUT THE BOOK

Silent. Cold. Chiselled perfection. That is Rikkard Ambrose, the most powerful business mogul in Great Britain.

Free-spirited. Fiery. Definitely NOT attracted to the aforementioned business mogul. That is Lilly Linton, his personal secretary and secret weapon.

The two have been playing a cat and mouse game for months. So far, Lilly has been able to fight down and deny her attraction to Mr Ambrose. But what happens when suddenly, the dark secrets of his past begin to surface and they are forced to go on a perilous journey into the South-American jungle? A journey they can only survive if they band together?

MY REVIEW: If you haven’t noticed it yet, Storm and Silence is a series and the books from book 3 onwards were my favorites. That’s where Ambrose’s passion started showing. As silently as possible. It’s an incredible book for real. Check it out!

There are many more I can’t remember. I promise to update the list when I can.
